Nellip at “Ovidius” University - Constanta, Romania

The NELLIP Network was presented in the framework of the Seminar on European Projects organised by “Ovidius” University in Constanta, Romania, for Doctoral School Masters Programmes students (the Faculty of Letters, the Faculty of Journalism, the Faculty of History and the Faculty of Architecture). The event was held on 1 – 2 November 2013 and brought together PhD or Master students, who work at the same time as teachers or journalists. The aim of the event was to inform, encourage and train them to apply for European Projects. It was a compulsory module for all the study programmes involved, at the end of which (during the exam session in February 2015) the students had to design (for real or just drafts) project proposals for which they received a mark.

In the framework of this event, the first day was dedicated to projects involving foreign languages, with a focus on quality. Within this section, Roxana Barlea, from PROSPER-ASE Language Centre Bucharest, Romania, had a 3 hour slot entitled „Ghidul calitatii în proiecte europene Studiu de caz: NELLIP - reţeaua proiectelor in domeniul predării şi învăţării limbilor străine / Quality Guidelines in European Projects. Case Study: NELLIP – the network of successful projects focusing on foreign languages”, attended by 21 participants. On this occasion, she presented the The European Language Label, the Nellip Project, the Nellip Portal – with a focus on the Nellip Guidelines. The first part was a presentation, followed by an interactive part, during which the participants discussed certain aspects of the Guidelines, with specific examples from the Nellip Database, asked questions and gathered ideas about new initiatives to be developed.
