Christopher Columbus CLIL project

The project run by Nottingham Trent University and the University of Salamanca involved primary schools in Nottinghamshire and in Spain and linked Clumbus's exploration and discovery with language and made huge contributions to year 4 pupils’ understanding of the historical, geographical and cultural aspects while developing their language skills.

Consistency with the European policies in the field of language learning

  • promotion of new approaches to language teaching and learning
  • promotion of multilingualism
  • promotion of recognition and validation of language skills acquired through non formal and informal education
