Studying Balkan Languages – Road to European Culture

The main project goal is to bring language learning and teaching closer to real communication Language acquisition is put into practice in standard groups, mini-groups or one-to-one – according to the preferences of the students. The following methodological principles are observed: communicativeness, structure functionality, awareness, visuality, professional orientation. Assistant methods are: direct, translation, audio-visual and audio-lingual. Tools for linguistic competency: programmes; systems for evaluation, validation and identifying of linguistic competences – original standardized tests, developed according to requirements of CEFR; original educative-methodological systems for intensive, semi-intensive and supportive teaching. New methods for introducing teaching material: audio-records of native speakers; workshops in interests: culture, folk, history, theatre, dances , songs; using school and feature films; holding school and discussion forums in Balkan languages (live and on-line).
