THE INITIATIVE PROMOTER’S PERSPECTIVE

Background

The teaching of English has been developed in many different subprojects. Teachers have prepared teaching materials for national use and trained other teachers on training days. The school has joint projects with schools in many countries.

Objectives

The quality of language teaching is the main pbjective of this project. Further training for teachers has been developed and utilised. The language teaching has used various methods and approaches for improving the quality of the teaching of the learning outcomes.

Approach

The Tampere University Teaching Practice School uses a pupil-centred approach where the concept of an autonomous learner is put into practice and methods of group work are used.Teaching promotes multiculturalism and international communication.Bilingual teaching is offered, modern communication and digital technology is used, study trips are organized.

Results

Teaching methods of oral skills have been developed.
