CLIL en interculturele samenwerking in het studiegebied Handel
The Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe-institute in Poperinge offers the pupils in the section Business (vocational education) a unique combination of CLIL, Exchange project and Godfatherproject. CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning): the pupils attend the lessons on Business and Economy for 3 hours per week in French for 6 years. Teachers use the communicative approach; the lessons are interactive and teamwork is often used. The project shows that pupils gain competences on the linguistic level (vocabulary, interaction...), on the intercultural and cognitive level. Their motivation to learn grew considerably.
