Steps to the World

The project linked institutions and educational organisations for helping children from orphanages to develop their cognitive, affective and social potential for a better integration in the community. It consisted in organising extra-curricular activities and non-conventional educational classes. The use of English was the main motivating factor for the children from orphanages to participate. Main content areas: speed reading; memorisation techniques; leadership and teamwork classes, activities and games, journalling techniques; computer work. Recreational activities: swimming classes, outings and trips, arts sessions.
