SHOPLANG 2.0 – The Shopping Language Game

SHOPLANG 2.0 is aimed at promoting the benefits of learning less widely used and taught European languages. It is focused on Polish, Portuguese, Romanian and Slovenian. The 4 target languages were promoted within 48 campaigns in supermarkets based on specially developed language activities and games related to the theme of shopping and focused on product labels. The events were projected on the project website as an online language supermarket allowing people to learn words in 8 languages. The language activities were supported by the development of products for providing language information in a non-traditional way in the 4 target languages. The project methodology was included in Guidelines for use of the project products which were distributed to relevant stakeholders.
