Bilingual debating

English debating has been established in France for more than 20 years. This activity has recently been transferred to other languages: German, French, Spanish but remained monolingual. Télécom Paris-Tech took up the challenge to convert it into a bilingual activity. Thanks to a share of competences between pupils and teachers, the experimentation resulted successful. Main objectives of the project were in the first place to create a public "Debating" event with a bilingual oratory joust; and in the second place to develop it further by recruiting partner schools with a view to creating a bilingual debating tournament.
