The international label at the university Lille 1
The university Lille1 launched in September 2011 its "international label" to promote the foreign language skills, intercultural awareness and international mobility of its students. The international label is part of the University project and comes in 2 levels that can be validated separately (level 1, level 2). Qualification for the international label involves meeting the following requirements: -obtaining a foreign language certificate (B2 or C1) -doing an international mobility (study or work placement) integrated within the student’s curriculum (2 consecutive months or a semester). -attending and validating an intercultural communication course taught in English.3 intensive training sessions are organized during the academic year. Applications are open to all university students, from the 2nd year of a bachelor’s program to the doctorate. Eligibility to label application is subjected to a minimum language level (B2 in placement test). A student will be able to fill in a label application form and eventually gradually validate the 3 requirements at any point during his academic course. The international label will be integrated in the diploma supplement.
