Mounting box Cento: culture in a box
What is the role of culture in my everyday life as a teenager? Can the culture of everyday life be useful as a tool for reception and integration? The students of the 3L Cevolani School tried to answer these questions by developing a project through which they not only deepened, expanded and improved their language skills in German, but which also facilitated the integration of peers that do not speak Italian. The activities were designed to disseminate the local culture and develop a CLIL learning environment. The project activities - conceived and managed entirely by the students - consist in a series of initiatives of reception, integration, promotion and cultural and linguistic enhancement. At the beginning and/or during each school year, the involved students are going to welcome incoming schoolmates with an immigration background enrolled in the German curriculum (whether or not they speak Italian). Likewise, in case of European projects and exchanges of classes, they are going to welcome exchange students, involving them in an active and constructive linguistic and cultural comparison.
