Studieverkstedet: the creative room

The European Language Label 2012 was awarded to Oslo voksenopplæring Sinsen for their creative approach to language learning for adult learners. The majority of the students at Oslo VO Sinsen have immigrant background and often few opportunities to learn and practice Norwegian in their local community. Good language skills increase the possibility to succeed in all subjects. This is important since Oslo VO Sinsen prepares their students for final exams in order for them to qualify for higher education or work life. In this context we would first of all highlight the use of senior advisors – retired teachers volunteering to assist the students in different subjects. Oslo VO Sinsen has also participated in several Grundtvig projects where they have developed the learning game "Diversonopoly".
