Deaf People in Europe Acquiring Languages through E-Learning (DEAL)

The DEAL Project (Deaf People in Europe Acquiring Languages through E-Learning), realised by the “Istituto Statale per Sordi”, was directed to a particular target group: deaf students of high school. The objective was to create a new model of teaching and learning of foreign languages through e-learning. The project implemented an innovative e-learning approach and a didactic model specifically adapted to the needs of deaf people. Tools and resources are based on methodological strategies and didactic techniques that allow to better use the main channel of the deaf, that is the visual one.
