Language for Healthcare – Healthcare without Borders

Target groups: - Patients from the multilingual region - “Health Professionals” who have to deal with foreign patients Objectives: - Main objective: to look after foreign patients at the highest standards not only from the medical point of view, but also by understanding their needs and wishes. - That implies catering for a better understanding of the foreign culture, to demolish language and cultural barriers. Deliverables: - CDs and scripts for learning the specialised terminology in different languages - More than 620 emergency personnel attended Italian courses - More than 120 attended Slovenian couses - Multilingual information brochures - Interpreting and translation services
