Language Centre for International Students and Intercultural Centre for Castleknock Community College
The Language Centre caters for English language needs of international students. It assesses students, places them in appropriate learning groups, and teaches functional English. Teaching resources include class plans, reading materials for a wide range of fluency levels, games and puzzles, and interactive English computer programmes. Teachers and students cooperate to create dictionaries of subject-related words and images. Castleknock Community Centre’s Policy on Interculturalism and Anti-Racism outlines the aim to create positive synergy from a multicultural society.
