In-Service Programme for Language Support Teachers in Primary Schools throughout Ireland

The purpose is to promote the English language learning necessary for a pupil to engage fully with mainstream education and to socialise in the community of the school. IILT designed and delivered an in-service programme, with supports and tools necessary for the implementation of effective language support. The most significant and enriching aspect of this in-service programme has been the constant two-way communication between IILT and teaching practitioners. Teachers have informed every aspect of the development programme.
