MacBiz

In this project, students adapted Shakespeare’s theatre play Macbeth firstly into modern age, then into the specific context of the economic world. The project had been running for two semesters: During the first semester the original play was adapted to today’s realities. During the second semester the rehearsals took place and the play was brought onto stage. The theatre group consisted of German and international students, who gathered to experience the English language from a different angle. The jury highly appreciated that the group worked independently on the revision of the drama with the aim to create a script that put special emphasis on business topics and language. The transposition of modern economic-oriented language and the successful combination of “old” and “new” English was throughout impressive.
