THE INITIATIVE PROMOTER’S PERSPECTIVE

Background

The Ion Ghica Economic College, in Targoviste, partner in the Comenius Project "E-Portfolios Schüler als Möglichkeit zur Förderung von Schlüsselkompetenzen" (Student portfolio, a method of developing core competencies), along with Austria (coordinator), Luxembourg, Germany, Czech Republic, Norway has developed a rich portfolio of developing skills which was uploaded on the website of the specific country. From the 21 competencies ( allocated equally to all partners) each country has completed three skills that include: PPT, Word documents, PDF (theoretical concepts), worksheets, videos, case studies, problematic situations, etc. Students practice these skills at the theological laboratory in both Romanian and German (the official language of the project). Every student and teacher have their own account in the project design platform and can access that account whenever they need. Until now there were four project meetings (Vienna - 21-24. 09. 2008 / Opava - 1-3. 12. 2008 / Mumbai - 18-20. 05. 2009/Ettelbruck-14-18.11.2009 - Luxembourg). These partner countries have introduced methods on how to design and post design work platform skills of each student's portfolio.
