THE INITIATIVE PROMOTER’S PERSPECTIVE
Students aged between 11-13 years use modern ICT tools for cooperation aiming at learning English, sharing ideas and enjoying cooperation.
The subjects included Art, Citizenship, Cross Curricular, Drama, Ethics, Foreign Languages, History of Culture, Informatics / ICT, Language and Literature, Media Education, Music, Social Studies / Sociology.
To enjoy cooperation among students from three partner schools;
To bring own students‘ ideas and share them with new friends;
To find out some information about life, school life and culture in European countries;
To compare similarities and differences.
Following a harmonogram for each month, students meet via Skype, get to know each other, talk about the story The secret garden (F.H.Burnett) and about friendship and messages from this story, act as part of the story, describe their friends and own experiences, introduce themselves, their own towns and countries.
During the learning process teachers encourage students to be creative, to enjoy cooperation, to learn more about the partner country and culture, to share and compare similarities and differences in their lives. The result is a collection of fun activities as a manual for everyone who will start a new cooperation as well as improved language skills.

The project is in consistency with the current policies in the field of language learning because it is directed towards promoting new approaches to language teaching and learning.

Message: A good way to encourage cooperation between students from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Being aware of the cultural differences and similarities is important for an effective cultural dialogues especially in young people. Fostering ICT skills is a further added value.
