THE INITIATIVE PROMOTER’S PERSPECTIVE
Language animation is both funny and unconventional method, which aims to approach the foundations of a foreign language and deepen the already acquired language skills. helps break down barriers to communication in intercultural groups and the ability of participants aware of the different ways of understanding.
To remove the fear of speaking and making mistakes;
To awaken interest in the form of games of the neighbour language and country;
To use language learning as a key to mutual knowledge and understanding;
To support the creation of a common communication base activated through already acquired language skills;
To promote a sense of achievement in communication;
To overcome prejudices associated with members of a neighboring nation or with an unknown language;
To provide necessary vocabulary on various topics;
To help boost students' confidence to use a foreign language in general communication;
To activate any knowledge of the German language that the students may have;
To allow the realization of fundamental socio-cultural similarities and differences between users of different languages.
Language animation works as a constant interaction and intensive dialogue. It is not a one-sided mediation of language by language animator. Participants develop their own initiative, are creative, applying their imagination. Language animation brings to the group movement and dynamics. Definitely not a traditional teaching method or systematic teaching.
