THE INITIATIVE PROMOTER’S PERSPECTIVE
Drug addiction is one of the dangers of the modern society, and its first victims are teenagers. This Project intends to prevent our pupils from becoming addicted to any legal (alcohol, cigarettes), or illegal drug, from ruining not only their health, but their social life and their future, as well. We intend to do that by involving our students and staff, students’ families, and the whole community.
The target language(s) were selected depending on the partners identified.
- to identify the risk factors and prevent their influence on teenager's health and social life by making them aware of the dangers of drug abuse, including smoking and drinking;
- to develop the social abilities of our pupils;
- to lead the teenagers towards activities that would keep them away from taking up drugs, smoking, drinking;
- to create a link between school - family - community;
- to develop our pupils awareness, responsibility, self-respect, team-work skills;
- to integrate ITC and communicative foreign languages into our pupils everyday activities;
- to ensure a quality education by integrating the final products into the school curriculum.
The project’s promoter tried to identify partners in online DBs and planned the activities together, taking into account each country’s needs.
Evaluation strategy adopted: impact questionnaire and discussions during the dissemination events
Deliverables: an informative leaflet, a website on this theme, posters (materials meant to inform and prevent; exhibitions with anti-drug posters, street campaigns, meetings with parents – students – teachers – community representatives)
The quality of results was assessed by an impact questionaire (20%)
The Promoter considered that this is a very good way to learn English, but also some notions in less-widely spoken languages. The European Language Label was considered to stress the importance of non formal and informal language learning.
Dissemination events, meetings, education workshops, an optional course, press articles.
The partners were encouraged to apply to other projects.
To focus more on less-widely used languages.
THE NELLIP NETWORK’S PERSPECTIVE
The project is consistent with the current policies. It includes less-widely used languages (English, but also Romanian, Lithuanian, Polish, Turkish, Spanish) and a cultural dimension in a professional field (work relationships in a multicultural team).
The project is consistent with the European, National and yearly priorities.
It provides added value, it motivates the students and the teachers to improve their language skills,

The project aims to lead teenagers to activities that would keep them away from taking drugs, smoking or drinking alcohol.Throughout the project there have been made several activities, in order to develop self respect, team work skills, to integrate ITC and communicative foreign languages into our pupils everyday activities and to create a link between school- family and community for a better communication and collaboration.
