Different but the Same: Children know no Borders

Year eight students from Germany and Russia held monthly video conferences. They were based around topics suc as 'your hobbies' or 'Let's buy souvenirs in Germany and Russia' and enabled peers in both countries to interact in a virtual learning space. Varioustools such as audio recording, films, presentations and quizzes were used to provide an insight into the lives of those participating, and helped to develop their self-confidence and social competence as well as their media competence.

  • promotion of multilingualism
  • promotion of recognition and validation of language skills acquired through non formal and informal education
