The Arrival - Ankomsten

“The Arrival" is a collaboration between teachers and pupils at Ross Tensta gymnasium and Östra Real gymnasium, upper secondary schools. The students at Ross Tensta have only recently arrived in Sweden and need to develop their basic communication skills in Swedish. The students from two classes read, discuss and analyse Shaun Tan's book “The Arrival” for four weeks with the same tasks with the help of symbols, pictures and visual aids. The blog “the Arrival” functions as a meeting place for the students. Also, the teachers blogg about their teaching.
