CLIO - Language yard for integration and guidance

The project is addressed to a particular group of learners of Italian L2, unaccompanied foreign minors (UFM) in Italy and to teachers working with them. Because of their particular migratory route and their personal experiences, the UFM benefit from educational paths that include language training as well as social inclusion in the territory and the exercise of active citizenship. Specifically, the project focuses on a training program aimed at developing language and civic competence in UFM through three different learning methodologies: (a) face to face language courses; (b) e-learning through the use of a social network and (c) broadcasting lessons through a Web radio with the direct involvement of students. Particularly effective was the choice of using a social network (Facebook), which is usually an environment of social interaction that many teenagers use with regularity, used within the project for educational purposes with the support of tutors.
