Promotion of Plurilingualism through Cultural Awareness

Each of the three projects awarded with European Language Label within the campaign has been completed in about 3 months within the academic year 2003-04. The students involved were about 30 for each of the three projects and the teachers involved were all the teachers of the languages used in each of the projects, that is Greek, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Armenian and Russian. The students worked together in teams; they used the internet apart from the useful material provided in the language rooms. The projects dealt with various subjects like: common and parallel customs and traditions, fables and legends, fairy tales, everyday routine and habits, ways of life, sayings and proverbs, cultural heritage, literature, poetry, music, songs, dances, festivals and festivities, worries, ideals and many other.
