European schools are democratic schools

Target groups: pupils, teachers, parents, local authorities Objectives: to compare the perception of the concept of “democracy” in different schools in Europe (common grounds and differences); to set up a Student Parliament; to set up common democracy projects Deliverables: simulation of a Student Parliament; questionnaires ; an election campaign ; presentations about their everyday life and the history of democracy in their own country; reports about the Parliament’s activities, videoconferences ; celebrations for the European day ; a contract between students – parents – teachers; videoconferencing ; visits to the local community authorities ; cultural visits

  • promotion of new approaches to language teaching and learning
