Languages Bridge

This unique project has already been embraced by around eighty schools and can be adapted to any language and any level. Its aim is to give learners an understanding of how language actually works – encouraging learners to consider different linguistic structures and language learning strategies rather than specific skills in just one tongue. Children taking part in the Languages Bridge projectA thorough online programme has been developed - with fifteen hours of innovative, multilingual and interactive materials organised into six Building Blocks. The material aims to develop general listening and reading skills and improve text comprehension and language construction. It includes drama, creativity and narrative which can be used for collaborative classroom tasks – and every element can be adapted to suit pupil level and setting.
