THE INITIATIVE PROMOTER’S PERSPECTIVE

Objectives

Integration between different subjects, co-operation with different partners, student exchange, theatre experiences. Student mobility during many years supports exchange of cultures between partner schools, motivates students to genuine communicative situations with foreign students and increases cultural understanding.

Approach

The project brought together students from three countries (Finland, Italy and Netherlands), they were supposed to create a spectacle as a result of a two week preparation. The team consisted of students from each of these three countries, there were musicians, actors, art directors, editors and directors. The students participated in transnational teams. A set of differnet theatre genres and styles were presented and touched, and the most interesting point was to present them through three different cultural angles. The project inspired to use the many possibilities of drama, to see drama's social aspects and to see the challenges that it brought to the physical expression.
