Signall: Sign Awareness and Learning the Language
Brief description
Signall was a transnational project aiming to increase awareness of deaf culture and sign languages among organizations and individuals. The focus was on creating and developing behavioral change and commitment from organizations, employers, public authorities, schools, educational institutions and the general public about the way deaf people are perceived and treated. The project introduced people to the fundamentals of sign languages and the principals of communication in the world of deafness. There is a strong component on the nature and quality of deaf culture as well as sign languages.
