Mother tongue – the competence of the future

The unit of Mother Tounge Education in Mölndal works to promote language development among multilingual students and highlights the importance of students' right to their mother tongue, tuition and studies of Swedish as a second language. They work together with the library where students and parents are invited. This has led to a great demand for books. The ”mother tounge library” is lending thousands of books. Another example are the "language bags", available in 36 languages. They include books, games and CDs. Swedish teachers and mother tongue teachers work together.
