CLIL: Learning languages through science and environmental education

The Comenius multilateral project "CLIL: Learning languages through science and environmental education" was designed to put teachers and schools in Europe in touch in order to explore and produce CLIL materials about science for primary school children. The CLIL methodology on scientific subjects with particular attention to environmental education was derived from the interests of the pupils and the needs of teachers who were previously linked to traditional teaching. The project improved the quality of teaching: teachers, using cross curricular approach, creating an instrument with characteristics of transferability of materials and strategies: a book (workbook-lesson plans), in which they have collected units tested in the classroom.
