SHOPLANG - The Shopping Language Game

The project uses the informal environment of the supermarkets in order to provoke interest towards six European languages and to assist people in developing some partial language skills for comprehension of basic information. The target group of the project is the general public. The project aims to disseminate the benefits of foreign language learning and to promote 6 LWUTLs through the theme of shopping. Main products: - 30 language campaigns in supermarkets – over 1,300 people directly involved; 10 people signed up for courses in the target languages - Learning materials, games and activities based on products and labels available in supermarkets - Resource centres – database of materials about the target languages and countries
