Re-Creation by Genetics: new ways of life?

A class from the secondary scientific school “Respighi” of Piacenza carried out a scientific survey on the perception on GMOs in some European and non European populations. Students worked with classmates of other nationalities alive as well as at a distance. The final result was collected in a book printed in English, with some parts in six native languages of the countries involved. “From Galileo onwards, we could say that science is a public fact. School has the responsibility to train citizens to move and act in a similar context in a conscious way”: that is one of the statements of the book. “Re-creation” because students have been spoken about genetics, the possibility of "creating" new forms of life, considering all the possible ethical, moral and legislative implications.
