IBIS - Initiative for Bilingual Studies
Universität zu Köln, Philosophische Fakultät (Nordrhein-Westfalen) This project developed a university programme for teacher education for subject teaching in bilingual school curricula. The objectives included needs analysis of bilingual learners and the development of teaching resources for teaching History in bilingual schools and a qualification (BLUE – Bilingual Teaching in English). The project was a model of how language and subject faculties can collaborate to develop joint qualifications.
