French on shores of the Baltic Sea

In this project French specialists not only from Latvia but also from Estonia, Finland, Denmark, Lithuania, France and Belgium work together on problems concerning the importance of the French language, motivation to learn this language, teaching and learning methods, the lack of qualified teachers, teachers pre-service and in-service training etc. Project team has developed a questionnaire for pupils, students and teachers and identified the real problems. They organize common seminars and training sessions, exchange experience. In the framework of bilateral agreements between higher education institutions of involved countries exchange of students and lecturers takes place. French Embassies also support this project by organizing in-service training of French teachers.
