Visaeus

The overall intent of this project is a field-tested, modular in-service training course dealing with language acquisition, multilingualism and creative learning. Teachers and pupils shall be enabled to experience linguistic diversity, to detect similarities and differences of languages and to better reconstruct the purpose of learning languages. To implement the concept, working on an online-dictionary and in a virtual language-workshop called “Vis@Vis” are used. Further materials are being developed, e.g., a European encyclopaedia for children in eight languages and a textbook created by children in their first languages.
